Transcorp Hilton Abuja has conducted a first-quarter unannounced fire drill simulation as part of efforts to strengthen safety measures and enhance emergency preparedness within the facility.
The exercise, held on February 19, 2026, was carried out in collaboration with the Federal Fire Service and forms part of the hotel’s structured safety programme aimed at ensuring rapid response capability and effective coordination with emergency authorities.
Management of the hotel said the drill underscores its commitment to maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff while aligning operations with established safety standards in the hospitality industry.
According to the management, the simulation tested internal emergency response systems, evacuation procedures and coordination with external responders to ensure readiness in the event of a real emergency.
“We successfully carried out our Q1 unannounced fire drill simulation with the support of the Nigeria Fire Service. The exercise is part of our structured safety programme designed to ensure a high level of emergency preparedness,” the management stated.
The safety exercise came shortly after the hotel hosted its Valentine’s Day weekend promotion across its rooms and restaurants, featuring entertainment and themed experiences that attracted significant guest participation.
As preparations begin for the Holy Month of Ramadan, management reassured guests of continued safety, comfort and a memorable hospitality experience.
The hotel also expressed appreciation to guests for their understanding and apologised for any temporary inconvenience caused during the drill.
