The University of Ibadan Council Chairman, Nde Joshua Waklek has suspended the selection process of the new VC for the premier University.
The Council will be meeting with the aggrieved unions on Friday.
Mr Wale Akinremi, Chairman of SSANU confirmed this to Newsmen on Wednesday.
He said that the Council Chairman, Nde Joshua Waklek stated this when he came to address the protesters which comprised of the unions in UI on the alleged imposition of a preferred candidate.
“So,the selection process has been suspended for now until all the issues raised in the appointment of the new VC is addressed”. Waklek said.
