The Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association (UNIFEMGA) has paid glowing tribute to the late former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, described his passing as a great loss to the nation.
In a condolence message signed by its National President, Mohammed Buhari, the association expressed deep sadness over the news of Buhari’s death, highlighting his legacy as a disciplined, loyal, and committed leader who served Nigeria with distinction both in military and civilian capacities.
“President Buhari was a dedicated and disciplined leader who worked tirelessly for the unity, peace, and progress of our nation,” the statement read.
UNIFEMGA commended the late president for his firm stance against corruption, efforts to strengthen national security, and strides toward transparency and good governance. According to the association, Buhari’s leadership reflected his unwavering desire to build a better Nigeria for future generations.
The association extended its condolences to his family, the Federal Government, and all Nigerians, while praying for divine mercy and strength for the bereaved.
“May Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds, and grant him the highest place in Al-Jannatul Firdaus. We also pray that Allah grants strength and patience to his family and all who mourn him,” the statement concluded.
