The Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives,Hon.Ahmed Idris Wase has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the nomination of Her Lordship, Justice Monica Donghan-Mensem as President of the Court of Appeal.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Mohammed Puma, the Deputy Speaker, thanked the President for finding her worthy of being appointed to the exalted position.
“I believe the nomination of the Acting President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongham-Mensem as the President of the Court of Appeal will signal a new dawn in the judicial system where the judiciary will find it expedient to cooperate with other arms of government and move the country forward, particularly with regards to the fight against corruption.
“As we await your confirmation by the Senate, I wish you the very best of luck in your new position and may you continue to distinguish yourself as you have always done. I pray to God to give you more wisdom and strength in the discharge of your duties”
