The National President of Wushishi Old Students Association (WOSA), Dr. Zubairu Ibrahim Tswachi has called on members of the Executive Committee of WOSA to remain steadfast in rendering assistance to Government Secondary School, Wushishi in the interest of the development of the School.
Dr. Tswachi made the call in his remarks while declaring open the maiden meeting of the recently elected EXCO of the Association.
The National President urged EXCO and members of the Association to help revamp the School and advance the course of academic and infrastructural development of the alma mater, stressing that education remained the best legacy parents must leave for the children.
According to Dr. Tswachi, “the importance of this Association to the development of Government Secondary School, Wushishi cannot be over-emphasized“, therefore all hands must be on deck in improving the atmosphere of learning of the School.
He reminded members of the Executive Committee and the Association that no matter the position they attained in life, Government Secondary School, Wushishi was where it all started, adding that as beneficiaries of this great School it is payback time now.
In their separate remarks, members of the EXCO described the rot in their alma mater as shameful and resolved to contribute positively toward rescuing the School from continuous deterioration.
Highlight of the meeting was the handing and taking over ceremony from Interim Committee of WOSA led by the former Chairman, Alhaji Usman Liman and members of his EXCO.
