Nigeria, XpressRide, a global ride-hailing service, has officially launched in Nigeria, with a strong commitment to creating employment opportunities across the country.
The company aims to empower individuals, particularly in the transportation sector, by providing job opportunities in all 36 states and 774 local government areas.
XpressRide’s expansion is part of its broader mission to tap into the growing demand for affordable and reliable transportation services in Africa.
The announcement was made during the official launch event held in Nigeria on November 24, 2024, where Ismaila Yusuf Atus, the Managing Director of XpressRide, addressed the federal government and the public.
He emphasized the company’s dedication to addressing unemployment in Nigeria by offering new economic opportunities, particularly in the ride-hailing sector.
Atus said, “As we launch XpressRide in Nigeria and across Africa, we are excited to announce our presence in 700 cities worldwide. Today, we want to emphasize that XpressRide remains the best option for transportation.
“Our mission is to create employment opportunities in Africa, particularly in Nigeria, where we have established networks in all 36 states and 774 local governments.
“You can easily book our services through our app. During the launch, Ismaila Yusuf Atus, the Managing Director of Xpress Ride, announced to the federal government our commitment to empowering individuals and creating jobs for our growing population.
“We also encourage car owners who are no longer using their vehicles to list them on Xpress Ride, allowing them to earn additional income.”
XpressRide, which operates in over 700 cities worldwide, encourages car owners to list their vehicles on the platform, enabling them to earn extra income.
With an easy-to-use app for booking rides, the service aims to provide a competitive alternative to other ride-hailing companies such as Uber, Bolt, and InDrive.
XpressRide’s launch in Nigeria marked a significant step in its broader strategy to provide transportation solutions while also contributing to economic growth and job creation across Africa.
