A Yoruba Socio- Cultural Group, Alliance of Yoruba Youth Council Worldwide (AYYCW) Oyo State Council has commiserated with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Governor Seyi Makinde, Ajimobi’s Family, Oyo State and Nigeria at large over the sudden demise of former Oyo state Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
The group in a press statement issued by the Oyo State Council Chairman and made available to the Newsmen by the Public Relation Officer, Ogbeni Adeniyi Faleti ,the State Chairman, Omo Oba Onaolapo Ademola Omiyale on Saturday, 27th June, 2020, described the death of Senator Abiola Ajimobi as a tragedy befalling Ibadanland, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
Omo Oba Omiyale on behalf of the Alliance of Yoruba Youth Council Worldwide (AYYCW) Oyo State Council described the news of Ajimobi’s death as shocking.
“Ibadan has loss a shinning star, a golden son, vibrant and dedicated son.
The chairman said “Ajimobi was more than a politician, he was a man of many parts, a bridge builder, an architect of modern Oyo State, a philanthropist, an Adviser, whose managerial skills and experiences are required at this critical period in our Nation. He died when he is needed the most”. Omiyale stated.
While commiserating with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Olasupo Adetunji, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde, Ajimobi’s Family and the entire Oyo State,Omoba Omiyale urged them to take heart, saying” the death of loved ones is usually one of the most painful episodes in people’s lives but we must realised that death is inevitable, we all will die some day.
Therefore we must gather enough strength to carry on”
Also pray to the Almighty God to grant Ajimobi Aljannah Firidaus.
