Former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala, is dead. He reportedly died on Wednesday at the age of 72, after a long battle with diabetes. Akala, also known as Omo iya alaro, served as the Deputy Governor of Oyo State from May 2003 to January 2006.
