2023: Let Yorubas in APC Support Tinubu, Yoruba aphorism says

Yoruba Elders’ Summit(Y.E.S )has urged the Yorubas home and abroad who are members of the ruling All Progressive Party(,APC) to support the aspiration of APC National Leader,Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to become next Nigeria President in the 2023 Presidential election.
The Group stated this in a statement signed by David Adeleke,
Protem Chairman,Adekunle Ogundeji,Protem Secretary and Abdul-Azeez Ayodeji,Protem P.R.O,which was made available to newsmen on Tuesday.
The statement read;
‘When the lion roars in the jungle, all other animals must be in a state of absolute taciturnity. Which animal dare makes noise when the king of the jungle roars.? That animal would find himself in the belly of the lion.’
LION OF BOURDILLON
Nigerian journalists are the best in Africa and have, since a long time, nicknamed Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as ‘Lion of Bourdillon’, his place of domicility in Ikoyi – Lagos, 9among the Nigeria wealthy elites, the makers and shakers of the Nigerian economy and politics.
TINUBU IS TODAY THE MOST CELEBRATED POLITICIAN OF SOUTH-WEST EXTRACTION
Let us say for now, without the least fear of being contradicted, that he is not only the most glamorous and sagacious political icon in Lagos. Tinubu is not only the greatest political tactician of Yoruba extraction, Tinubu is the most cerebral and most vivacious politician in Nigeria today. He is therefore not the Lion of Bourdillon alone, he is the most celebrated politician of our time. That is an enviable position in life that would definitely attract envy like sugar attracts ants.
YORUBA ELDERS SUMMIT IS A NON-PARTISAN, NON – POLITICAL BODY
Since Y.E.S is not partisan nor an APC mouth organ nor even propaganda machinery of any party, our appeal would be to all contenders (not pretenders) in APC in Yorubaland to wait for another time.
We extend our appeal to Chief Bode George of this world. The Ayo Fayoses of this clime in PDP to also take up the gauntlet and contest the Presidential primaries in PDP so that a Yoruba President would emerge at the end of the day. It would be Yoruba vs Yoruba.
YORUBA, STOP BETRAYALS
The Yorubas in Nigerian political circle have been criminalised and stigmatised as traitor-inclined .
Students of history would go into the achieves and dig up the story of how Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola allegedly betrayed Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo by joining forces with the Hausa-Fulani in denying Awolowo the coveted honour of the presidency of this potentially great Nation;
People would not forget in a jiffy how Chief Eanest Shonekan accepted the interim presidency when his tribal and towns man the flamboyant, intelligent and philantropic Chief MKO Abiola, was locked up and eventually died in controversial circumstances in the hands of the Northern oligarchy, with the connivance of the General Abdussalam – led military junta. It was a celebrated case of betrayal and unwholesome case of dog eating dog for self aggradisement. Where is Shonekan today ? He has returned to his maker, leaving the world as a traitor of the Yoruba cause; Olusegun Obasanjo, another Egba man, a kinsman of Moshood Kasimawo Olawale Abiola, was part of the conspiracy to deny a Yoruba man the leadership of this country. Didn’t he say shamelessly with arrogant insensitivity to the Yoruba cause that ‘Abiola is not the messiah Nigeria needs’? Let’s ask him, when he surreptitiously found his way to the corridors of power, did he exhibit any trait of a messiah? No. He only came to brutalise Nigerians and almost succeeded in perpetuating himself in office with the third term agenda that eventually collapsed like a pack of cards.
We would want to see the Yoruba bastard who would be bought over in the APC to scuttle the chance of Tinubu to emerge as candidate of the APC in the 2023 Presidential election.
PROF. YEMI OSINBAJO
Some names are being bandied in the media, the most being that of the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who cut his political teeth in Tinubu school of cerebral politics.
He was a poor Professor when Tinubu fished him out probably as a political strategy, to tap his influence as an in-law of the political sage and the greatest Yoruba in contemporary history, Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo. It is an undeniable political history that the Jagaban not only made Osinbajo Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice when he was Governor, he also influenced Babatunde Fashola, his workaholic successor, to retain him for another term at the corridors of power.
Tinubu equally facilitated the nomination of Professor Yemi Osinbajo for the coveted position of Vice-President to President Muhammadu Buhari for two terms.
Let us see how Osinbajo will get the courage to contest APC primary with his well known and acknowledged mentor, Bola Tinubu.
DR. KAYODE FAYEMI
The rumour mill has it that, the Governor of Ekiti State, also has his eyes on the 2023 Presidential dream.
Fayemi, two-term Governor of Ekiti is extremely brilliant with his Queen’s English. He is an intellectual of no mean dimension. But are there not hundreds more brilliant than him in these country where many egg heads exist in the academic arena?
Bola Tinubu rewarded his being in the political wilderness with him under NADECO to get him the position of the first citizen of the state with the largest number of Professors in Nigeria, Ekiti State.
SEN. IBIKUNLE AMOSUN AND OTHERS
There are unconfirmed rumours of some other beneficiaries of Jagaban’s political magnanimity like Senator Ibikunle Amosun, who became arrogant to Tinubu immediately after Tinubu supported him to become the Governor of Ogun State. He has been rewarded through the law of Karma when he spent a fortune to install a successor but it was an effort in futility. His greatest political asset is his closeness to the President. But he needs to emulate the President who knows how to reward loyalty and not a shameless ingrate.
These antics of Amosun, alongside other mentees of Tinubu, trying to scuttle Yoruba’s chance of producing a brilliant President, is unpatriotic to the Yoruba cause. It is the greatest act of ingratitude to Tinubu and selfishness that the Yoruba race would not condone.
We are not saying Tinubu is a Saint. We are not proclaiming the Jagaban as being an angel. As a human being he has his faults but within the APC political circle he is the best Yoruba man to take the mantle of political leadership of this country.
As we mentioned inter-alia, we are not a mouth peace of the APC. Let Chief Bode George or Ayo Fayose also join the Presidential foray in the PDP. Our main objective is having a Yoruba President come 2023, God willing.
May God touch the hearts of all those working against the unanimity of the Yoruba, in solidly queuing behind one Yoruba Presidential aspirant, the most cerebral, most celebrated and most prepared for the job, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Let us speak with one voice.
