The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as false and misleading a viral report claiming that the party has granted automatic tickets to all current members of the National Assembly.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka., described the report as “FAKE NEWS” and urged party members and the general public to disregard it in its entirety.
“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a purported breaking news report tagged: ‘APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members.’ The report is FAKE NEWS and should be disregarded as it did not emanate from our great Party,” the statement read.
Morka further emphasized that the APC remains committed to internal democracy, fairness, and due process in all its political and nomination processes.
He noted that the report is of mischievous origin and aimed at misleading the public and causing confusion within the party ranks.
The APC called on its members to remain vigilant and verify information through official party channels.
