It is indubitable to say that Governor Seyi Makinde, popularly rendered to as GSM means the business of governance in Oyo State. Yes!
One of the popular Yoruba phrases: “ka s’oro ka de ba be e ni iyi omoluabi, meaning (acting on one’s words makes one honorable), exactly depicts Makinde’s personality and style of governance in the State.
In other words, Omoluabi is someone who respects the rights of others in deeds and in action. GSM is an embodiment of such person.
The public declaration of his assets worth over N48b yesterday yet showed a man who won’t only make promises but would work them out. By that singular action, he has shown a great deal of transparency, hence fulfilling one of his campaign promises to the people of Oyo State. We can only believe that the rest of his promises would be made fulfilled as time goes on.
It could be said that Governor Makinde believes transparency is a practical thing and equally understands that he must not fail to keep setting the pace in tandem with his Omititun agenda to turn the state around for the better.
Those who have been following the developments since the inception of his administration know too well that He has started well. Though, he is still being faced with different challenges, evil plots, campaign of calumny by the opposition members aimed at discrediting his administration, he wont fail in his responsibilities to do what he had said he would do.
For those who think he appears almost everyday on the Media, its really nothing to worry about as he understands its mightiness. Let’s recall that the governor was elected by popular votes and, by every definition, is the peoples’ governor. It is only right and proper he constantly carries the people along by regularly updating them of happenings in his government. He is doing just exactly this.
GSM is only connecting with the people and should not be criticised.
