The Leader of the Senate, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, has felicitated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 73rd birthday, described him as a courageous reformer, fearless patriot, and an unwavering optimist in Nigeria’s future.

In a statement released by his Directorate of Media and Public Affairs on Saturday, Bamidele commended the president for his bold economic and structural reforms over the past 22 months despite prevailing challenges.

He noted that Tinubu’s administration has been working diligently with its economic team to redirect the country from economic decline to progress. He highlighted key policies such as the removal of fuel and forex subsidies, which, despite initial difficulties, have begun yielding positive results, with food and fuel prices gradually stabilizing.

“I truly celebrate the 16th President of Nigeria and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as he graciously turns 73 today. He is on the path of charting a new course for our country,” Bamidele stated.

He also commended the administration’s commitment to infrastructural development, citing the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway as transformative projects.

Bamidele also praised Tinubu for championing key social intervention programs such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, the Health Sector Renewal Initiative, and the Renewed Hope Housing Scheme, aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
