The Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami has been voted ‘2022 Minister of the Year’ by Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.
Pro. Isa Ali Pantami emerged first place following his online nomination and voting by members of the general public as monitored and confirmed by the Nigeria Service Awards panel of jury which lasted from 14th to 24th August, 2022.
Consequently, this prestigious Award will be presented by the COA Media Group, organizers of the 2022 Nigeria Service Awards at a ceremony slated for 18th November, 2022 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
Prof. Isa Ali is an Islamic cleric who was the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency(NITDA) of Nigeria before he was nominated and sworn into office as a minister. He was one of the associate professors that was promoted to being a professor by the governing body of the Federal University Of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) in August 2020.
Born in Gombe State in the year 1972, Pantami graduated from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi State where he bagged his B.Tech and MSc degrees after which he obtained a PhD degree at the Robert Gordon University. He is happily married and resides in Abuja, Nigeria.
Isa Ali Pantami was a Lecturer at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in the department of Information Technology before joining the Islamic University of Madinah at the new faculty of Computing and Information Systems as the Head of Technical Writing in 2014.
