President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, as a member of the Presidential Council on Digital Economy and E-governance.
This was disclosed in a letter signed by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami.
Professor Pantami said the constitution of the presidential council was an effort to implement the National Digital Economy Policy (NDEPS) and the Nigerian E-governance Master Plan (NEGMP).
The minister noted that Nasarawa State is critical to the success of Nigeria’s digital economy agenda.
According to the statement, Governor Sule and other members of the council will be inaugurated by President Buhari, being the chairman of the council, at a later date.
