Bornu Governor Appoints Ogbomoso Indigene Into His Cabinet

Borno state Governor,Babagana Zulum,has appointed Yusuf Alao from Oyo state as a special adviser Alao is from Ogbomoso area of Oyo State. He is one of the 26 appointees sworn in by the governor on Wednesday. According to the governor, Alao and one other none indigene were appointed as professionals who have lived in the state for many years and have been active in supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC). The governor was represented by Umar Kadafur, his deputy, who administered oath of office and allegiance for the appointees.

Buhari overrules Power Minister, reverses suspension of Rural Electrification Agency head

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the reversal of the suspension of the immediate past Managing Director of Rural Electrification Agency, Damilola Ogunbiyi. Mr Buhari ordered the reversal of the suspension on Tuesday, in clear overrule of an earlier directive given by the Minister of Power, Sale Mamman. A federal high court in Ikoyi has asked the federal government to recover pensions and allowances received by former and serving senators as ex-governors.
