The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dr. Kana Ibrahim,has expressed confidence in the ongoing reforms and growth within Nigeria’s aviation sector, he attributed the progress to the strong leadership at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) under Managing Director/CEO Olubunmi Kuku.
During his first tour of FAAN following his redeployment to the Ministry, Dr. Ibrahim commended the agency’s reforms, emphasizing that Kuku’s management expertise has significantly contributed to operational efficiency and service improvements across the airports.
Dr. Ibrahim also highlighted the instrumental role of Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, in shaping the sector’s growth. He acknowledged the minister’s strategic direction and proactive policies that have provided the sector with a solid foundation for development and innovation.
Reaffirming the ministry’s support for FAAN, Dr. Ibrahim assured the agency’s leadership of the ministry’s commitment to working together to ensure continued development. He emphasized the importance of enhancing staff training as part of FAAN’s reforms and called for the establishment of a sustainable training framework to boost staff capabilities.
“The aviation sector is in need of constant innovation and expertise.I encourage all stakeholders to collaborate, share ideas, and work toward making Nigeria’s aviation industry a global leader.”Dr. Ibrahim said.
