The Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has congratulated Doris Esiokhayamhe Ogah, an indigene of Edo, on her emergence as the 45th Miss Nigeria.
Miss Ogah, a lawyer and gender advocate, represented the South-South Geopolitical Zone during the pageant and brought pride and honor to her home state with her remarkable victory.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo described Miss Ogah’s achievement as a reflection of her intelligence, charm, and outstanding talents. He also commended her for using the platform to advance meaningful causes, particularly the empowerment of women and girls.
The Governor highlighted Miss Ogah’s exceptional performance during the business pitch event, where she presented an innovative product aimed at supporting women and girls. This accomplishment, he said, showcased her entrepreneurial skills and passion for driving societal progress.
“Miss Ogah’s success is a victory for all Edo people and a testament to the talent, creativity, and determination that define our state.
“As Miss Nigeria, she will inspire and empower young women while championing education, entrepreneurship, and social justice.”Governor Okpebholo stated.
The Governor expressed confidence that Miss Ogah would use her new role to advocate for causes close to her heart and wished her success in her journey as Miss Nigeria.
