The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has extended warm greetings to Muslims across the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Maulud, urged Nigerians to uphold the rule of law and embrace unity as a pathway to peace and national development.
In a statement signed by Bala Musa, NOA’s Director of Communication and Media. the Director General , Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, encouraged Muslims to emulate the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), particularly his virtues of forgiveness, tolerance, and compassion, which he described as vital for peaceful and upright living.
He noted that unity among citizens remains a powerful tool in combating insecurity, stressed that collective support for security efforts would strengthen Nigeria’s capacity to overcome violence and restore lasting stability.
“The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) exemplified peace, compassion, and unity. Nigerians must draw lessons from his teachings to promote harmony and national integration,” Issa-Onilu said.
The DG prayed for peace, progress, and prosperity in the country and asked God to grant President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wisdom and strength to steer the nation towards growth and development.
