The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has recorded major breakthroughs in its ongoing fight against crime, arresting several suspects involved in armed robbery, vehicle theft, and drug trafficking during a series of coordinated operations across Abuja.
The operations, carried out between 9th and 18th October 2025 by operatives of the Scorpion Squad, Kubwa Division, Life Camp Division, and Mabushi Division, were based on credible intelligence and led to multiple arrests and recoveries.
Spokesperson for the Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said in a statement on Sunday that the arrested suspects include Manaseh Emmanuel (36), Dogora Ibrahim (21), and Ibrahim Idamusa (40) members of a notorious armed robbery gang led by Ibrahim Yakubu, also known as “Ycome”, who is currently remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
Adeh further disclosed that operatives from Life Camp Division arrested Umar Abubakar, Iliyasu Ibrahim, Usman Ibrahim, and Alkasim Abubakar, suspected members of a ten-man robbery syndicate behind several violent attacks in the Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mpape areas.
In a related operation, Bello Mohd Tambuwal was arrested by Mabushi Division for allegedly stealing a 2019 Toyota Corolla, while Paul Onogwu was intercepted with 15 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.
Items recovered from the suspects include a Toyota Land Cruiser stolen during an armed robbery, a black Toyota Corolla (2019 model) with chassis number JTNK4RBE1K3054902, a Toyota Camry with registration number KRD 391 JF, and assorted weapons such as a cutlass, sword, and jackknife.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dantawaye Miller, commended the officers involved in the successful operations, described their performance as a reflection of the Command’s renewed determination to rid the FCT of criminal elements.
He urged all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to intensify surveillance and intelligence-gathering efforts, assuring residents that the Command will continue to hit hard on crime until every criminal hideout in the territory is dismantled.
