The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, has intensified community–police collaboration with a strategic engagement tour of the Durumi Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp and the Mpape community on Monday, November 24, 2025.
The visits are part of ongoing efforts by the FCT Police Command to strengthen community policing, bolster public confidence, and advance cooperative security management across the territory.
Residents of Durumi and Mpape expressed gratitude for what they described as improved police visibility and more responsive security operations. They also outlined areas where sustained support is needed to consolidate recent gains.
Addressing community members, CP Dantawaye reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to professional, accountable, and community-driven policing. He stressed that effective security depends on strong police–citizen partnerships built on trust, open communication, and timely information sharing.
He also directed the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) of Durumi and Mpape to maintain high standards of service delivery, safeguard the confidence of residents, and demonstrate utmost professionalism in their duties.
