The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced the identification of the father of a young boy involved in a suspected hit-and-run incident at Apo Roundabout, Abuja.
The victim, earlier reported as an unidentified male aged between 12 and 15, was found unconscious near a transformer at the Apo Roundabout on December 10, 2025. Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said the child is currently receiving medical attention, while arrangements are being made to ensure his safe and proper reunification with his father in line with medical advice and standard procedures.
SP Adeh commended members of the public for their cooperation and timely information, noting that public support played a critical role in identifying the victim’s family.
The FCT Police Command reiterated its call for vigilance and urged residents to promptly report suspicious incidents or persons to the nearest police station or through the Command’s emergency lines: 08032003913 and 08028940883
