Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Olorogun Ese Kakor, President of the Neo Black Movement (NBM) of Africa, over alleged forgery of official government documents.
In a petition directed to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Ajayi, the Governor accused Kakor of fraudulently producing documents that falsely claimed state government authorization to provide assistance to schools in Edo South Senatorial District.
Describing the act as criminal and deceitful, Governor Okpebholo alleged that the forged documents were created in collusion with some junior civil servants, who have since been identified, arrested, and are currently under investigation by the police.
“All those found culpable will be prosecuted according to the law,” the Governor stated.
As part of measures to clamp down on alleged unlawful activities linked to the organization, Governor Okpebholo also announced the revocation of the land title upon which the NBM headquarters was built in Edo State.
He further urged the Nigeria Police Force and the DSS to intensify their operations against criminal groups and ensure that justice is served in this and similar cases.
