The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has commended the dedication and professionalism of the Commission’s staff and stakeholders for the successful reception of the first batches of Nigerian pilgrims in Madinah for the 2025 Hajj exercise.

Professor Usman, in a statement issued by Fatima Sanda Usara, Assistant Director of Information and Publication, expressed deep appreciation to the NAHCON Madinah team for their tireless round-the-clock efforts. He described their work as a “sacrifice for the success of the pilgrimage,” noting that they have gone above and beyond to ensure that pilgrims are warmly welcomed, adequately fed, and properly guided upon arrival.

“The Madinah team has demonstrated exceptional commitment, sacrificing sleep and comfort to serve the pilgrims. Their performance has been truly commendable,” the NAHCON Chairman stated.

He also extended his gratitude to the airlines and other key stakeholders whose cooperation and support have contributed immensely to the seamless coordination witnessed so far. Professor Usman acknowledged that the progress made is a result of collective efforts by all involved in the Hajj operation.

As attention shifted to Makkah for the arrival of the next group of pilgrims, the Chairman assured that the Makkah team is fully prepared to uphold and even surpass the standards set in Madinah.
