The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu on Tuesday announced the timetable for the schedule and activities of the 2019 general elections. The electoral Commission Boss said it remain 402 days to the opening of polling units nationwide at 8am on Saturday 16th February 2019. He said that Commission wish to appeal to all and sundry to eschew bitterness and conduct their activities as political parties and candidates canvass the support of the electorates with decorum.
Prof Yakubu stated that the 2015 General Election was a watershed in the history of Nigeria democracy. He maintained that INEC is determined to build 
on this legacy by ensuring that elections in Nigeria keep getting better.
“Let us all join hands to make 2019 our best election ever” Prof. Mahmood Yakubu urged.
