The Grand Finale of the Central Senatorial District Rally of the PDP originally postponed has been cancelled.
The cancellation was sequel to a decision by an extraordinary Stakeholders meeting yesterday presided over by Hon. A K Saliu at the country home of the State Party Chairman, Engr.Sam Uhuotu.
The meeting reviewed the critical security situation of the District at the eve of the General Election on Saturday and opted to consolidate on the achievement of the various rallies held so far in all the local govt.areas by further embarking on Door to Door Campaign in the remaining days before the election.
Recall that the Security situation of the District has escalated from sporadic gunshots in the strongholds of the PDP to the bombing of the Okehi Local Government Secretariat in Obangede last night by unknown gunmen.
The State Presidential Campaign Committee in a release signed by Head of Media Team, regretted any inconvenience the cancellation of the rally may have caused members of the party.
