The Executive Chairman of Suleja Local Government Council,Hon Isyaku Bawa Naibi on Thursday inaugurated committee to register and regulate the operation of tricycles and Motorcycles in suleja.
A statement signed by Haruna Garba Kaninko, Chief Press Secretary to the Council Chairman, said the formation of the committee became necessary due to the spate of security challenges affecting the operators of tricycles and motorcycle in the ancient city.
Recall that earlier this week, one of the operators of tricycle was murdered and his body found along kwamba -Maje road. And all efforts by the security to identify the victim’s information failed.
Similar incidences abound where the operators of these transport sectors were maimed or killed. In most of these instances, there are no any documented records of those killed.
“It is in the light of these and many more the Suleja Local Government Council Peace and Security Committee came with a resolution to have all operators registered with a view of having everyone of them captured in the data base.
“And also to regulate their operations through giving them operational time/hours and many more measures that would enhance their security and operations.
“The general public are advised to debunk mischief makers circulating fake news in respect to the formation of this committee the CPS added.
