The abducted female students of Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS) Maga in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State have regained their freedom following a non-kinetic intervention by the Federal Government.
Their release was facilitated through coordinated efforts of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the Department of State Services (DSS), relying on dialogue and confidence-building measures rather than armed force.
The abduction had sparked nationwide concern and triggered intensified search-and-rescue directives from the Chief of Army Staff.
The successful return of the girls has brought relief to their families and the affected community, marking a significant breakthrough in ongoing efforts to curb mass kidnappings.
