NiDCOM Boss,Dabiri-Erewa mourns Buhari, describes his death as End of an Era

The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing his death as the end of an era characterized by discipline, patriotic service, and commitment to national development.

 

In a statement signed by Mr. Gabriel Odu of NiDCOM’s Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit, Dabiri-Erewa commiserated with the Buhari family, the Government and people of Katsina State, and all Nigerians over the loss of a statesman whose legacy spanned decades.

 

She highlighted Buhari’s pivotal role in enhancing Nigeria’s global standing, strengthening diplomatic ties, and promoting the involvement of Nigerians in the Diaspora in national development efforts.

 

“President Buhari’s support for the establishment of NiDCOM in 2019 demonstrated his deep appreciation for the Nigerian Diaspora and his belief in their capacity to contribute meaningfully to the nation,” she said.

 

While praying for the peaceful repose of his soul, Dabiri-Erewa urged Nigerians at home and abroad to uphold the values of integrity, patriotism, and selfless service which the late President embodied.

 

She also prayed for divine comfort for the bereaved family and the fortitude to bear the national loss.
