The Niger State Police Command has disbursed welfare cheques totaling ₦11,422,903.95 to families of ten deceased police personnel who died in active service during the 2022/2023 period. The funds were presented under the Group Life Assurance and IGP Family Welfare Schemes of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, made the presentation on behalf of the Inspector General of Police at the State Police Headquarters, Dutsen-Kura, Minna.

Addressing the beneficiaries, CP Elleman expressed deep sympathy over the loss of the officers, noted that while no amount of money could replace the lives lost, the gesture reflects the IGP’s commitment to the welfare of police personnel and their families.
“This token is meant to support and alleviate some of the hardship caused by the unfortunate demise of our colleagues. The Inspector General of Police remains committed to the welfare of all personnel and their families,” he said.
The CP encouraged the families to feel free to approach the Command for any further assistance, assuring them of continued support.
Senior officers present at the event included DCP Falade Michael (Deputy Commissioner, Operations), DCP Ibrahim Adamu (DCCID), and DCP Aminu Garba (DC Admin), among others.
