Nigeria on path to prosperity under Tinubu’s leadership — Akpabio

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has said Nigeria is on a steady path to prosperity and global recognition under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Akpabio stated this in Abuja during an event organised by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), led by its Director-General, Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman.

He commended President Tinubu’s leadership, described it as purposeful and reform-driven, and said the country has continued to witness progress in governance, economy, and institutional development.

“Nigeria is becoming a better country for prosperity under President Tinubu. The National Assembly will continue to support reforms that enhance growth, unity, and stability,” Akpabio said.

The former Akwa Ibom Governor also lauded NILDS for its contributions to the deepening of democracy through research, training, and institutional capacity building.

He disclosed that the National Assembly has commenced a constitutional review process aimed at strengthening democratic institutions and promoting good governance across all levels.

In his remarks, Prof. Sulaiman praised Akpabio’s leadership style, describing him as an “agent of change” committed to enhancing the effectiveness of the legislature in nation-building.

He added that under his watch, NILDS has evolved into a globally recognised hub for legislative studies, policy innovation, and international collaboration.
