Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, has officially been chosen as the host city for the prestigious World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), which will take place in November 2026. The announcement was made during a formal unveiling ceremony at the NAF Conference Centre, with Mr. Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representing the Honourable Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar.
The Honourable Minister, currently on official assignment abroad, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for securing the rights to host the event, which is expected to bring together communication and public relations leaders from across the globe.
In his goodwill message, Mr. Ebienfa highlighted the significance of Nigeria’s selection as the host nation, emphasizing that the decision underscores the country’s growing influence and leadership on the global stage.
“Nigeria’s selection to host the WPRF is a testament to our vibrant democracy, dynamic economy, and our commitment to fostering dialogue both at home and across the world,” said Mr. Ebienfa, delivering the Minister’s message. “This event will showcase our nation’s ability to connect people, promote partnerships, and showcase Nigerian excellence on the global stage.”
The WPRF 2026, slated for November 2026, will offer a unique platform to showcase Africa’s narrative, foster global partnerships, and highlight Nigeria’s cultural heritage, hospitality, and world-class infrastructure. The forum is expected to be a melting pot for global thought leaders and industry professionals, providing a venue for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and innovative solutions to contemporary communication challenges.
