NIMC completes Upgrade of Diaspora NIN Enrolment Platform for Better Service Delivery

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced the successful upgrade of its diaspora enrolment platform to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience for Nigerians abroad seeking to obtain their National Identification Number (NIN).

In a statement issued on Monday and signed by the Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, the Commission said the upgraded platform would provide a seamless, robust, and more effective service delivery process.

As part of the upgrade, NIMC’s Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have been onboarded and given intensive training to enable them to manage the new system effectively. All FEPs are expected to obtain and activate their NIN enrolment licences on the upgraded platform within 48 hours.

NIMC apologised for any inconvenience the upgrade process may have caused and assured that a dedicated service team has been set up to resolve issues relating to diaspora enrolment. Diaspora applicants experiencing challenges are encouraged to contact the Commission via nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng for prompt assistance.

The Commission also reaffirmed that NIN enrolment is ongoing across all centres in Nigeria, with details of the nearest centres available on its website, www.nimc.gov.ng. Nigerians at home or abroad can also update or modify their NIN data through the self-service portal at https://selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng.

NIMC further urged NIN holders to download the NIMC NINAuth App from iOS or Google Play Store to instantly verify their NINs, control access to their personal data, and enjoy seamless verification and authentication services.
