The Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, received the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Muyi Aina, at the Agency’s headquarters for a high-level strategic engagement aimed at advancing the digitisation of Nigeria’s primary healthcare system.
The meeting focused on strengthening institutional collaboration, exploring how emerging technologies can be leveraged to enhance service delivery, improve health outcomes, and support real-time, data-driven decision-making across the primary healthcare value chain.
In line with NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0) and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the engagement underscored the importance of aligning NPHCDA’s operational mandate with NITDA’s digital transformation framework.
Both agencies reaffirmed their commitment to positioning technology as a core pillar for improving healthcare access, transparency, efficiency, and accountability nationwide, signalling a major step toward modernising Nigeria’s primary healthcare sector.
