The National Population Commission NPC has congratulated the former Honourable Federal Commissioner, Lagos State,Barr. (Mrs.) Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin on her appointment and subsequent swearing-in on 16th June 2023 as the Secretary to State Government of Lagos State by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The Commission saluted and deeply appreciated Barr. Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin’s contributions towards achieving its constitutional mandate of generating data for development planning, especially as it preparing for the conduct of the 2023 Population and Housing Census.
The Chairman of National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, fnsa alongside the NPC Federal Commissioner, Osun State, Sen. Mudashiru Hussain and Federal Commissioner, Niger State, Hon. Muhammad Dattijo Usman represented the Commission at the inauguration ceremony that had in attendance the topmost officials of the Lagos State Government to further strengthen the engagement with the State Government to support and mobilize Lagosians to get ready for the forthcoming 2023 Census exercise.
NPC seized the occasion to seek cooperation and support of critical stakeholders and government at all levels in order to give Nigerians and the global community, credible and reliable data for planning through the next census.
