The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has concluded a three-day constituency tour marked by the commissioning of critical infrastructure and empowerment initiatives across Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.
According to Jackson Udom, Special Assistant (Media) to the President of the Senate, Senator Akpabio visited Abak, Ikot Ekpene, and Essien Udim Local Government Areas between May 16 and 18, 2025, where he commissioned key projects including:
Asphalted roads
Fully equipped ICT centres
Renovated classroom blocks
Ultra-modern markets
Newly built police stations
Functional healthcare centres
The event drew massive support from community members and local leaders, including Abak LGA Chairman Ime Charles, Essien Udim LGA Chairman Hon. Ntiedo Usoro, and Commissioner of Police, Baba Azare, who all commended the Senate President’s commitment to grassroots development.
This marked the second phase of Akpabio’s constituency empowerment programme, reinforced his pledge to deliver quality representation and sustainable development following his 2023 electoral victory.
