Operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), in collaboration with officials from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Women Affairs Secretariat, have arrested a middle-aged man (name withheld) who was seen in a viral video viciously assaulting his 25-year-old wife with a dangerous object.

The suspect was apprehended at the popular GSM Market in Wuse, Abuja. During the operation, the victim was also rescued from a self-contained apartment located in the Wumba Community of Apo, Abuja.
