SERVICOM urges MDAs to prioritize Citizen-Centered service delivery initiatives

The National Coordinator/CEO of SERVICOM, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, has called on Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to prioritize citizen-centered service delivery initiatives across their service windows nationwide.

She made this appeal during an advocacy visit to the management and staff of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) in Abuja.

In her keynote address, Mrs. Akajemeli emphasized that SERVICOM aims to enhance service delivery in all sectors by collaborating with MDAs to achieve the Federal Government’s objectives. She highlighted that SERVICOM’s mandate revolves around promoting excellence and customer-focused services across government agencies.

Mrs. Akajemeli urged NEPAD’s management to ensure the SERVICOM Unit operates directly under the Office of the Chief Executive for effective service monitoring. She also called for the establishment of a SERVICOM Unit Committee comprising representatives from various departments and units.

She further advocated for a review of NEPAD’s Service Charter and encouraged the Unit to participate in capacity-building trainings organized by the SERVICOM Institute.

In his response, NEPAD’s National Coordinator/CEO, Hon. Jabiru Salisu Abdullahi Tsauri, appreciated the visit and reiterated the agency’s commitment to delivering excellent services. He assured the SERVICOM boss of his willingness to collaborate with the National Office to achieve the agency’s service delivery mandate.
