Lawan leads Senate delegation to condole with Senator Ndume over father’s death

The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday led a delegation of the Senate to Maiduguri, Borno State, to condole with Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume over the death of his father, Alhaji Ali Buba Ndume. Alhaji Ali Buba Ndume died in Maiduguri Tuesday morning and was buried later same day. Lawan mourns OPEC Secretary-General, Mohammed Barkindo

The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has mourned the death of the Secretary-General of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Mohammed Barkindo.   Lawan described the sudden death of Barkindo, who was to conclude his second term at OPEC at the end of July, as tragic.   The Senate President also described Barkindo’s leadership of the global oil cartel as exemplary, noted that the deceased worked assiduously to build cooperation between OPEC and non-OPEC countries to save the energy market at a time of a global crisis.  …
