The Ekiti State House of Assembly impressed me this afternoon by suspending the Chairman of Ikere Local Government, Hon. Femi Ayodele for printing and sharing posters of alleged presidential bid of Governor Kayode Fayemi without clearance from the concerned.
How do you sit in your miserable corner, design a campaign poster of someone else and share same, when you and the individual never sat to talk about any such thing? What manner of favour is that? Do you shave a man’s hair in his absence?
One thing is clear though: Ayodele is definitely one of the fifth columnists in the system and deserves to be taught some good lessons in a sense that passes a very strong message down to the others like him.
Anyone who knows Fayemi, would agree that’s not his style or mode of operations. Even at the last minute of his governorship bid, many were still sceptical he would run, because he never shared his plan with anyone, knowing what’s at stake. He’s grown beyond those tawdry pranks to rudimentary politics.
Is it the same Fayemi that would now approve such a silly campaign poster, poorly designed like one from an illiterate Ikere politician, when the current administration is yet to have a clear cut agenda about what lays ahead in collective interest?
For me, the signs are clear and the message is simple. One can at least see now where all the untruths about the Fayemi administration come from. It is also not far-fetched those behind the mischief, beyond their canon fodder.
After all, we know those who would give an arm and a leg for their presidential bid.
- Nonsense!
