The Director General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, has initiated a strategic partnership with the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) during a collaborative visit to the Institute’s Director General, Professor Eghosa Osaghae.
The visit marked the formal introduction of two key platforms: the “NIIA Forum” and the “VON CEO Guest and Forum.” These initiatives are designed to foster informed dialogue on national and international issues of mutual concern.
This collaboration seeks to strengthen engagement between Nigeria’s premier foreign policy think tank and the nation’s official international broadcasting agency. Deliberations during the visit highlighted the mutual benefits of the partnership, especially the potential to leverage NIIA’s research and diplomatic expertise to enhance VON’s editorial content and expand its global reach.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to capacity building and knowledge exchange, aiming to enrich policy conversations, support national development objectives, and promote Nigeria’s image on the global stage.
The strategic partnership is expected to foster thought leadership, elevate media coverage of international affairs, and serve as a model for collaboration between research institutions and public media in Nigeria.
