Niger state Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has called on Christians to reflect on the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ as they celebrate the 2022 Christmas.
The Governor in a Christmas message observed that love, compassion, sacrifice, selflessness, and forgiveness among others are the hallmarks of Christmas celebrations.
He enjoined all Nigerlites to appropriate the love and hope that come with Christmas and reinvest trust in his administration’s determination and unwavering commitment to restoring peace, security, and prosperity to the State.
“I celebrate with all Christians on this joyous occasion of commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Love, compassion, sacrifice, selflessness, and forgiveness are the basis for the celebration so I urge all Nigerlites to use this period to reflect and practice these principles for a better society”, he said.
The Governor emphasized that there was relative peace in the state, he then assured of his administration’s continuous support to the security agencies within the available resources to enable them to consolidate the relative peace attained in the state.
He therefore, called on all residents of the state to support the security agencies by volunteering credible information on the activities of bandits and other criminal elements within their communities to flush them out.
The Governor also prayed for a peaceful Christmas and prosperous New year celebrations.
