Oyo State Governorship aspirant, Dr. Ololade Usman Bakare, has donated two smart television sets to the Oyo State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, reaffirmed his commitment to the party’s growth and internal capacity development ahead of the 2027 elections.
Dr. Bakare’s gesture, which party stakeholders described as practical support for organisational efficiency, aligns with his long-standing belief in strengthening political structures, boosting grassroots engagement, and improving the free flow of information within the party. As founder of the Igbega Oyo Initiative, Dr. Bakare has consistently promoted community empowerment and wider democratic participation across the state.
The items were formally presented on his behalf by Hon. Yisau Olagoke, alongside Hon. Taopheek Akinpelu, Ward 4 Chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government, and members of the Igbega Oyo Initiative.
Receiving the donation were key state executives of the APC, including Mrs. Taiwo Moteleola, State Welfare Secretary; Hon. Sayo Fatoki, Deputy State Youth Leader; and Hon. Wasiu Sadare, State Publicity Secretary.
Speaking on behalf of the State Chairman, Pharm. Olayide Abas, Hon. Sadare expressed appreciation to Dr. Bakare, describing the donation as a meaningful contribution to the party’s operations. He prayed for continued strength for the donor and wished him well in his 2027 gubernatorial ambition.
