Abiodun Muftau Yunusa: SA on Agriculture, Synergizing To Resolve Nigeria’s Food Crises. BY ABUBAKAR YUSUF.

Before now, an adage says two heads are better than one, but in the current dispensation going by tue digital age and demands of the 21st century, many heads are now better than one hence thr on going collaboration in the Ministry of Agriculture between Senator Mohammed Abba Kyari, Senator Sabi Abdullahi and the Special Adviser on Agriculture, Hon Abiodun Muftau Yunusa.

Soon after the constitution of the federal executive council by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the appointment of Special Advisers that brought on board Muftau Yunusa.

Appointed in August, 2023 , the administrative wizardry and political exposure of the current special adviser on Agriculture was in tandem with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

With genuine understanding of the high political office holders from the red chamber as two Ministers manning the Ministry, his absorption by the President was a right decisions at the right time.

No doubt, policies and programs of the Ministry had gone seamlessly with recourse to lay down procedures along highly galvanize decisions that will provide all round bumper harvest both at the rainy and dry season.

With appointment coming toward the dry season, the special adviser along with his Ministers not only revived, but re- launched the most popular “dry season farming” abandoned over the decades , but had served as a complimentary activities to rainy season farming.

The return of dry season farming under the current dispensation and advisory roles of Abiodun Muftau Yunusa will not only bring about bumper harvest , but revive the river basins to providing the needed supports, encouragement that will tackle drought and food shortages.

Amid fiscal , economic and global hardships, Abuodun’s advisory roles of providing succour to constituents by federal lawmakers was approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

These among many others included the ongoing distribution of 42,000 metric tonnes of grains to Nigerians to cushion the effects of the global hardships across the country.

The decision of government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to float the distribution of rice seized by the customs was also meant to cushion the critical situations occasioned by the ongoing global hardships with Nigeria not an exception as his offshoot.

Six months down the line, the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu been anchored by the advisory roles of Hon Abiodun Muftau Yunusa and his two Ministers of the Ministry obviously will not only tackle headlong, but capable of resolving the current food crises in the country.

All hands must be on deck to continue to support the present administration and his reform agenda in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture giving the two Minister’s wealth of experience complemented by the exposure of the special adviser, Hon Abiodun Muftau Yunusa.
