As preparations heighten for the North Central Zonal Public Hearing on the review of the 1999 Constitution, the Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives and Member representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Chief (Dr) Philip Agbese, has announced the appointment of Comrade Dan Atayi and Patriot Nelson Ogbu as Chairman and Secretary, respectively, of the Media Committee to engage Constituents on the Constitution Review.
According to Agbese, the Media Committee will play a pivotal role in driving grassroots awareness, promoting transparency, and providing accurate feedback throughout the constitutional amendment process.
Unveiled on Friday, the committee is tasked with disseminating progress reports from the Local Constituency Committees and fostering open, two-way communication between the people of the Enone Federal Constituency and their representatives.

In a statement signed by his Chief of Staff, Hon. William Ochonu, Hon. Agbese emphasized that the Media Committee’s role is crucial to ensuring accountability and openness in the constitutional review process.
“The mandate of this committee is to report progress on the various proposals back to the good people of Enone and collate feedback for the Local Committees where necessary until the constitution amendment process is fully concluded by the National Assembly,” Agbese said.
Popularly known as the “Enone Servant,” Agbese reaffirmed that the initiative is community-driven with no hidden political agenda. He emphasized that the process must reflect the collective will of the people.
“I want every action to flow directly from the people in a transparent manner. With God on our side and our collective determination, the dream of Apa State and additional Local Government Areas could become a reality if the National Assembly accommodates such requests in the final amendment,” he added.
The move to establish the Media Committee has drawn praise from political observers and community stakeholders, who view it as a proactive and inclusive approach to legislative representation.
The North Central Zonal Public Hearing is scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Enone delegates are expected to present well-articulated, community-backed proposals at the event.
