APC Group Rallies Behind Bago, Sani Musa for Second Term

A prominent support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State has thrown its weight behind Governor Mohammed Umar Bago and Senator Sani Musa, declaring them deserving of another term in office based on their performance and developmental strides.

The endorsement was made by the APC Grassroots Mobilization Network during a strategic meeting held in Minna on Tuesday.

In a communique jointly signed by the group’s Coordinator, Abdullahi Ibrahim, and Secretary, Aisha Mohammed, the group praised Governor Bago for what it described as transformative leadership since assuming office.

According to the communique, the governor has demonstrated strong commitment to infrastructure development, agricultural transformation, education, healthcare, and security across the state.

The group highlighted ongoing road construction and urban renewal projects in Minna and other major towns, noting that the administration’s agricultural policies have revitalized value chains, boosted food production, and empowered farmers across the three senatorial districts.

It further commended Governor Bago’s efforts in attracting investments into the state, improving the ease of doing business, and strengthening collaboration with security agencies to tackle insecurity through community engagement.

“Governor Mohammed Umar Bago has redefined governance in Niger State. His administration has prioritized infrastructure development, agricultural revolution, education, healthcare, and security with visible results across the state,” the communique stated.

On Senator Sani Musa, the group lauded his representation at the National Assembly, describing him as a committed lawmaker and strong voice for Niger State in the Senate.

The APC group said Senator Musa has sponsored bills and motions addressing critical national and state issues, while also executing several constituency and empowerment projects across the Niger East Senatorial District.

It added that the senator’s support for Governor Bago’s developmental agenda has fostered a harmonious working relationship between the state and the federal government.

The group described Senator Musa as a reliable bridge between Niger State and the federal authorities, stressing that his contributions have positively impacted constituents and strengthened governance efforts in the state.

Calling for continuity, the APC Grassroots Mobilization Network warned that changing leadership at this stage could slow down ongoing development efforts.

“Changing leadership now would amount to a setback. Governor Bago and Senator Sani Musa have laid a solid foundation. They deserve the opportunity to build upon it for the next four years,” the communique added.
