APC NATIONAL CONVENTION: GOV SANI-BELLO OPTIMISTIC OF PEACEFUL, RANCOR-FREE EXERCISE

Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani-Bello has expressed optimism that the outcome of the All Progressive Party National Convention would be peaceful and rancor-free.

Governor Sani-Bello stated this during the accreditation exercise preceeding the election of the party executives at the national level in Abuja

The Governor who said he was optimistic that the APC national convention would be peaceful and rancor-free also said it would be difficult to predict the result of the convention.

“At this point it is difficult to say what will happen in a situation where you have delegates from different states and different background. It is difficult to predict what will happen but from what I have seen so far and from the response from people so far I am very optimistic that the convention will be peaceful and rancor-free.”

Also commenting on the accreditation exercise, he said “the accreditation is going on smoothly, the venue is well secured, peaceful and calm.”

Governor Sani-Bello disclosed that the accreditation committee is set for the exercise and that the accreditation exercise would soon commence .

Meanwhile Chairman , Niger state accreditation committee, Alhaji Mustapha Dantala disclosed that Niger state has 247 delegates out of the 6, 800 delegates expected from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to elect new national executives of the convention.

Delegates from the state include Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello, his Deputy, Alhaji Ahmed Muhammad Kesto, Niger State Chairman, All Progressive Party, APC and members of the state executive council.

Others are serving and former members of the state and National Assembly, Local Government Chairmen and Secretaries as well as Members of the state working committee.
