Baynakum Family Counseling Centre holds Graduation Ceremony for Course 13

Baynakum family counseling centre in line with her promise of bringing happiness and help to the through the Islamic counseling and family life coach training course, on Sunday 18th of February, 2024 ,graduated 13 Counselors in cohort 13 which brought the total number of trained counselors to 127

Dr. Abdulfattah Adeyemi the Founder and Chief Executive Officer ,Baynakum family counseling centre in his speech emphasized the importance of counseling in creating a functional society. He highlighted that poverty of the mind is a significant challenge in the country today and that counseling can help change people’s mindset.

 

He encouraged stakeholders from schools to Islamic Organizations,mosques, hospitals, including government, to embrace professional counseling especially the aspects of Islamic counseling . Dr. Adeyemi also advised the graduates to incorporate positive psychology into their practice and emphasized the importance of intervention rather than interception.

 

He further urged them to understand the difference between what happened and what is happening, and to embark on a journey of self-discovery, addressing generational traumas and resolving conflicting thought patterns. He concluded by congratulating the graduates and called upon them to be world changers, leading the campaign of Islamic counseling,mental health awareness to take Nigeria to its promised land.

 

In his remarks,the Director of Operations and Training ,Baynakum family counseling centre, who facilitated most of the sessions ,Dr Olayode Abdurasaq aka philosopher king emphasized the importance of counseling in addressing social issues such as divorce, domestic violence, and addiction. He highlighted the significance of pre-marital counseling in helping couples navigate potential challenges in their relationships. Unfortunately, there is a lack of awareness about the benefits of counseling.

 

He urged the new graduates to spread the word and make a positive impact in society through counseling. He congratulated them on their achievements and acknowledged that their journey may not always be easy, but their dedication will bring light to the lives they touch.

Lastly. He said he has a dream that someday counselors will be invited on Tv and radio to discuss the state of the nation as most challenges facing our nation today starts from home.

 

The new graduates were presented with certificates at a graduation ceremony held at the Baynakum Hub & contact office .in Gwarinpa.Abuja
