President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said the N25,000 salary increment earlier announced is now for all workers.
Recall earlier in his Independence Day speech, the president announced twenty-five thousand naira for low-grade workers.
The president said it is part of his effort to provide cushion for the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
However, in a new development on Sunday night, the president through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila said the salary increment now cut across all levels of workers.
This comes amid the government’s effort to avoid nationwide strike declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC)
