The Federal Government has launched the Outsource to Nigeria Initiative OTNI/Commissioning of the Business Outsourcing Centre (BPO) in Gombe State.
The ceremony which was performed by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima was also attended by the Registrar-General and CEO of the CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji amongst other important dignitaries.
The project, which is an initiative of the Gombe State Government under the leadership of Governor Inuwa Yahaya, aims at creating 2,000 jobs.
CAC News reports that the Commission was actively involved in actualizing the initiative held at the ICC Gombe/Hajiya Amina Mohammed Skills Acquisition Centre.
The Commission provided on-the-spot registration of businesses at the centre.
CAC further reports that the event is spearheaded by Outsource Global and supported by the Presidency under the Office of the Vice President.
A privately driven, government-enabled national endeavour aimed at generating millions of jobs in Nigeria through the global business process.
In another development, the Gombe State Government today awarded a plot of land to the Corporate Affairs Commission in its bid to further drive investment into the State.
The Registrar-General commended the laudable gesture by Governor Inuwa Yahaya and pledged to utilize the land for the benefit of the Commission and the economic development of the State.
