BREAKING: DSS arrests Emefiele

The Department of State Security, DSS, has reportedly arrested the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.   His reported arrest is coming after president Bola Ahmed Tinubu suspended him from office.   Emefiele was also directed by the president to immediately hand over the affairs of his office to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate), who will now act as the Central Bank Governor.   Peter Afunanya, DSS Spokesperson neither confirmed or denied the arrest when contacted on the arrest       News.band

Breaking : Tinubu suspends Emefiele

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, from office with immediate effect. This is sequel to the ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy. Emefiele has been directed to immediately hand over the affairs of his office to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate), who will act as the Central Bank Governor pending the conclusion of investigation and the reforms.

Tinubu appoints Femi Gbajabiamiala as CoS, Ibrahim Hadejia DCoS,Akume,SGF

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday in Abuja announced the appointment of Speaker of House of Representatives,Femi Gbajabiamila as Chief of Staff, and Sen. Ibrahim Hassan Hadejia, a former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, as Deputy Chief of Staff. In a meeting with Progressives Governors Forum (PGF), the President also named former Governor of Benue State and immediate past Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
